Michael Lamar White IV grew up in Canton, Ohio. He began his rap career during his teenage years. His career was prompted by grief. He had a brother who was an up-and-coming rapper who sadly died from a car crash. Saddened by his brother's sudden passing, he decided to continue his dreams. Motivated by his brother's passion for music, he decided to release multiple mixtapes. Somehow, he found himself having a passion for rapping, as well. Then came the time that he went viral. His song "Love Scars" from his debut mixtape "A Love Letter to You" became an internet sensation. The same year, his follow-up "A Love Letter to You 2" went public. It peaked at the 34th spot on Billboard 200. The next year, "Dark Knight Dummo" his collaboration with Travis Scott. It debuted on the Billboard 100 chart.
