We here at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa are so excited to welcome the Glass Animals and SOFIA ISELLA to town as they take on the entire world as a part of their 2025 Tour of Earth Tour. Extending from their madly successful 2024 tour with the same name, the band has already played sixty dates around the globe - including in places like Tokyo, Taipei, Sydney, and Manchester. Now, the group will take on North America - hitting iconic spots like Madison Square Garden, Bonnaroo, Montreal, and of course - right here in Tampa. The shows so far has looked insane (just check out the YouTube video we linked before to catch part 1 from last year) and more than anything it's just impressive. We’re POSITIVE they may never do a tour this extensive again - so that’s why you’ll want to catch them this June when they come to town for a special, once in a lifetime showcase.
The Glass Animals are an English rock and pop band formed in Oxford back in 2010. The band consists of Dave Bayley on vocals and guitar, Drew MacFarlane on keyboard and backing vocals, Edmund Singer on bass, and Joe Seaward on drums. They’ve had multiple platinum hits and albums that debuted on the Billboard Hot 200 throughout their decades long career, but nothing quite as big as their song Heat Waves, which went viral on TikTok instantly and was named the hottest song of 2020. Currently the song has over 3 billion streams on Spotify, and it helped propel them into stardom and accolades across the board - including a Brit award nomination for Best British Single, and a Grammy nomination in 2022 for Best New Artist of the year.
Their consistent success and years of building a fan base paid off now that they’re on a global tour - which has seen the crew go to new countries all around the world, and sell out shows with ease in these places, too. There’s absolutely no telling what the North American leg of the tour will bring, but we’re here for it - and you should make sure you are, too!
We could say more, like how SOFIA ISELLA is creating a new lane for herself and how she sounds somewhat reminiscent (but way more cinematic and chaotic) to Billie Elish, but we think you all get the point.
