It's a pop punk funfest as the new look Blink 182 hit the road this summer on an epic North American tour! With their brand new album California released on July 1 and a dramatic lineup change, the boys are ready to bring their new sound to the masses! Blink-182 were instrumental in bringing pop punk to the mainstream and developing it as a genre. Formed in 1992, in Poway, California, a suburb of San Diego, the band started out under the name Blink, and was founded by guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLonge, bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus, and drummer Scott Raynor. Their debut album, Cheshire Cat, was released in 1995 and lead to their their name change to Blink-182, as well as increased popularity and their sophomore follow-up, Dude Ranch, which was released in 1998 on MCA Records. After Raynor's departure later that year, he was replaced by Travis Barker. Their following two albums, Enema of the State and Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, were the band's most commercially successful, catapulting them into the mainstream. In 2005, DeLonge left the band, sending them into what was termed an "indefinite hiatus". They reunited in 2009, producing the trio's sixth album, Neighborhoods (2011). In 2015, DeLonge again exited and was replaced by Alkaline Trio guitarist and vocalist Matt Skiba. The band's seventh studio album, California, is set for release on July 1, 2016.
