Alice in Chains & Breaking Benjamin at MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre

Alice in Chain has brought grunge rock into the mainstream scene. Their debut album, Facelift, has been credited for jumpstarting the grunge era and bringing on a broader reach of listeners. Today, the band has three decades of experience behind them, 11 Grammy Award nominations, three multi-platinum albums, and 30 million records sold. Moreover, the band was ranked number 34 on VH1’s 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock. With their return to the stage this 2022, founding member and drummer Sean Kinney expressed his excitement in a statement. “We’re looking forward to finally hitting the road again this summer. It’s been too long, and we can’t wait to get outdoors and share a night of music with our fans again.” The 2022 tour marks the band’s first tour in nearly three years.

Iconic rock band Breaking Benjamin joins Alice in Chains on this much-anticipated trek of shows. This is the first time these two bands are co-headlining a tour together. Breaking Benjamin Frontman has listed Alice in Chains as one of their influences when writing music. The band just wrapped up a successful 2021 tour to promote their compilation album, Aurora. The album is composed of acoustic versions of their previous works. Upon its release, the album ranked number 1 on both the US Billboard Top Rock Albums and Top Hard Rock Albums.

Moreover, it also ranked number on the Top Alternative Albums and number 4 on Top Tastemaker Albums. These rankings are not the first for the band. Their last four studio albums peaked at number 1 on the US Top Rock Albums and Top Alternative Albums. Their fifth album, Dark Before Dawn, peaked at number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
