Giants of the hard rock world Def Leppard are making their way across North America this summer on an elephantine tour, stopping in across 48 dates! They'll be joined by the almighty Styx & the indomitable Tesla!
According to front man Joe Elliot, fans can expect a combination of old favorites and some more contemporary sounds in their set:
"It's very varied," Elliott says. "It sounds like Def Leppard, but it sounds like Def Leppard stretching their wings a little bit. There are a couple of songs tied to our DNA, instantly recognizable as us, and some of the stuff that's not so much like that and represents who we are now, a band that's in their early- to mid-50s, the kind of music they should be making without it sounding old and farty."
See them at MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre on Tuesday 23rd June!
Def Leppard are one of the world's best-selling bands of all time, having sold over 100 million albums worldwide and with their albums Pyromania and Hysteria earning them RIAA Diamond certification. Hysteria (released in 1987) is their biggest commercial success, spawning seven singles including: "Love Bites", alongside "Pour Some Sugar on Me", "Hysteria", "Armageddon It", "Animal", "Rocket", and "Women". Although the band hail from Britain, they found huge success on both sides of the pond during the 1980s and 1990s, and are one of only five rock bands with two original studio albums selling over 10 million copies in the U.S. Their harmonic hard rock saw them inducted into the Rock Walk of Fame in 2000, and they were ranked No. 31 in VH1's "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock" and No. 70 in "100 Greatest Artists of All Time".
